Our Distinctives
-
Expositional Preaching
We desire to hear and know everything that God has said. Each week, we learn from a primary Biblical passage, and the point of the passage is applied to the lives of the listeners.
-
Meaningful Membership
We’ve been called into something bigger than ourselves and we take that seriously in our love and accountability to one another. The church is its members.
-
Reformational and Confessional Theology
We affirm that the Bible teaches that God is entirely sovereign in salvation and that we as human beings are morally responsible for our choices. Our church believes and affirms the New Hampshire Confession of Faith (1853).
-
Biblically-Oriented Public Worship
Our public worship includes only those worship elements that God has instructed for his church. We preach, pray, read, sing, and see the Word together because the Word itself is sufficient to nourish and sustain the people of God.
-
Elder-Led Congregationalism
The ministry of the church is carried out by the members of the church. Each member has a job to do and God gives qualified pastors (elders) to the church to equip the saints for the work of ministry.
-
One, Unified Assembly
We believe a local church is a single assembly that meets together weekly in one place and one time. That regular assembly is the primary means for growing together as followers of Jesus.
-
Church-Centered Missions and Evangelism
Our missional and evangelical efforts are based on what God has called us to do as his church. We believe the main instrument of Gospel advance is the local church.
